Creativity With Starblend Powders

Spiderman Face With Starblend Powder

Spiderman Face With Starblend Powder

Thanks to a review of Mehron’s Starblend Powders that I saw on the How to Face Paint blog, I have been turned on to a product that has made painting full faces a thousand times easier.

The Starblend powder makes applying a more even coat a snap and what’s more is that this powder goes on dry so there is no waiting around for paint to dry before applying detail.

As you can see in the picture that I provided of the Spiderman face, Starblend powder goes on evenly with a very rich color.

As I go along, I’m hoping to add more and more products to my current face painting supplies. I have already added a glitter tattoo kit into the mix. I’m so happy I took a chance with these powders. They have made a great addition to my face painting supplies.

Being Creative When Face Painting Eye Masks

A very popular face painting design for girls of all ages are eye masks. When it comes to creating face painting eye masks I say the more creative the better.

I have seemed to adopt a dot pattern eye mask that I always seem to gravitate to. I first start by sponging an overall color around the eyes and over the bridge of the nose to create the area of the eye mask.

After that, I start in using the mehron detailz, usually in black. This is when my true creativity takes over. There are so many different patterns that can be created just by using dots. It’s amazing.

Each face painted dotted eye mask is original. You would find it hard to duplicate one even if you tried.
That’s what makes it so great.

The Art Of Glitter Tattoos

Massachusetts Glitter Tattoo

Massachusetts Glitter Tattoo

On of my goals for Body Art by Erin was to be able to offer Glitter Tattooing as one of my services.

I am pleased to say that I have taken this goal to fruition. Body Art by Erin now offers the art of glitter tattoos.

For anyone not familiar with glitter tattoos, they are temporary tattoos made up of cosmetic glue and glitter. These temporary glitter tattoos can last from 3-7 days depending on the persons skin type and proper maintenance.

The cosmetic glue can be applied using free hand or guided by a stencil. Once the glue is applied, you remove the stencil (if using one) and wait for the glue to dry. Once the cosmetic glue has dried you can begin applying the glitter.

Glitter tattoos that are painted on with a stencil guide and have one glitter color are pretty easy to apply. It doesn’t take much artistic ability… just a little patience. So how do you add some artistic flare to the art of glitter tattoos? Read more
