More Than Just a Massachusetts Children’s Face Painter
It’s funny when I mention to people that I am a Massachusetts face painter, they automatically assume that I am a Massachusetts Children’s face painter. While they are correct that I work a lot of children’s birthday parties, I am much more than just a Massachusetts children’s face painter.
I love to paint people of all ages. Face painting is definitely not just for children. Teens and adults have a great time with face painting too… if they give it a try.
There are definitely differences between children’s face painting designs and adult face painting designs. With adults, a face painter can take their time and apply some really detailed and far out designs that kids just aren’t going to sit still for.
I used an eye design as an example of something that is more appropriate for adults. Picture this type of design on both eyes to make sort of a masquerade ball type look. Read more
Massachusetts Pregnant Belly Painting is Gaining Popularity
Pregnant belly painting has been popular in other parts of the world but it seems that it never really caught on in the United States. I am pleased to say that at least in Massachusetts pregnant belly painting is gaining popularity.
How do I know? Well along with being a Massachusetts face painter, I am also a Massachusetts pregnant belly painter. Read more
Face Painting During Cold and Flu Season
Since hygiene should be a face painter’s top priority, face painting during the cold and flu season can be kind of tricky.
There are two issues that a Massachusetts face painter will run into during the cold and flu season: 1) turning away sick kids and 2) knowing when you are too sick to face paint. Read more
Working On Your Holiday Face Painting Designs
With Fall in full gear, I’ve now begun working on some of my holiday face painting designs. Since most of these designs are only applied around their corresponding holiday, I think it’s a good idea to start practicing.
The Santa Clause face painting design that I’m showing in the picture took me a while to apply. Sure, I was applying it on myself which always slows me down but I really need to practice it in order to get to an application speed that will work even when there is a line.
That’s why I think working on your holiday face painting designs ahead of time is important. That way when the actual holiday season is upon us, you’ll be up to speed with your holiday face painting designs.
A Massachusetts Face Painter Is A Great Idea In The Winter
A Massachusetts face painter is a great idea in the winter? A great idea for what? A great idea for your next indoor birthday party, corporate event, or special event.
Let’s face it, we live in New England and are subject to New England weather. Sure, we have seen warm weather into late October… but we’ve also seen snow in early November. It is New England after all.
In my opinion (although I am a little biased) I think nothing entertains children like face painting. They love the entire experience, especially watching each other getting their faces painted.
Gone are the months where you could have a children’s birthday party, corporate event or a special event outdoors which means gone are the months where outdoor activities entertained your guests.
It’s time to start figuring out how you will entertain your guests indoors. But finding indoor activities to entertain your guests doesn’t have to be difficult… just hire Body Art by Erin.
People of all ages are entertained by this Massachusetts Face Painter. Children love my fun full face designs, ladies love eye adornments and glitter tattoos, while the guys love to pick out designs to be painted on as “tattoos”. There really is something for everyone.
So as the weather turns cooler don’t start to panic about how you will entertain your guests. Just hire Body Art by Erin, a Massachusetts face painter, for your entertainment. Your function will be remembered for all the right reasons.
How Does Your Face Painting Style Differ From Mine?
We all have tigers, we all have dogs and cats but somehow we all manage to make our face painting designs seem a little different from everyone else’s. This is mainly because of our different face painting styles.
I think it’s really great that you can sit two painters down, give them the same supplies, and the same face painting design yet somehow the results are unique.
My face painting style relies heavily on powders such as Starblend. I use Starblend powders in just about every single face painting design that I do.
They mainly make up the base of my design but I also rely upon the Starblend for shading and highlighting.
Since powders go on dry, I find that they are an excellent way to paint small children… less for them to smear. This is why I also have begun using powders on some of my cheek art designs.
If you take a look at the picture of the lady but on this page, you may be surprised to find that I used Starblend powder for the body and the head of this design. I then detail and outline using wolfe brothers black. This technique calls for less drying time so it just makes sense when painting small children.
I would be interested to hear from anyone else out there that utilizes powders as much as I do in their face painting designs. I would also love to hear how your face painting style differs from mine.
